Phase Two Begins
Started out great! I'm a complete sucker for breakfast foods, and I steered clear of my Cheerios, sausage & eggs, and everything else I would normally get my hands on. One breadstick and one apple for breakfast, breadstick for a snack (okay, so maybe I'm overdoing the breadstick, but c'mon), an apple and chicken breast for lunch. And, yes, I am chomping on a breadstick as I type. Did I mention 22 calories? I know, I know, it's not all about calories. But they are good. And I need to crunch on something or go crazy!
Insert sugarless gum. While pregnant my OBGYN told me that the artificial sweetener I would get from chomping on a piece of gum all day was not enough to concern myself with, and to go ahead and chew while pregnant. I am taking the same philosophy as I mold myself into this low calorie day.
As of 1pm - Calories eaten: 326
AM Weight - 179

Day Two
Day Two and I'm not starving yet. haha That's a feat unto itself. Three rounds of drops (yuck, is all I can say), several of my new friend the Grissini breadstick (22 calories, crunch, and YUMMY!) and apple galore. Made tea and snuck a cupcake sent over by our neighbors. Oh, alright, I ate three. But don't tell anyone. :-)
Tomorrow starts a 500 calorie diet, and my food gorging is now complete. My kitchen is stocked, and I'll fight anyone I see chowing down on my apples.
I'm contemplating the PureVia vs. Sweet Leaf stevia. I read conflicting reports, so for the first box I'm going with the cheaper (and one on sale) of the two (like my Kroger brand tea bags, and clearance bag of apples? woohoo!).

Day One
Day One of Mission Me
Bleh. I don't even like the word "me". It seems so cocky, so self involved. And, yet, it all comes down to me.
Today is Day One of my latest fad diet. Only, this time, it won't come and go. It's here to stay. Seriously. Stop snickering.
10 drops under the tongue of the HCG drops three times a day. I've seen others' results, I've researched results, and now I'm going to feel results. I started at lunchtime today, so have officially had two "doses". The 500 calorie a day diet will be my mortal enemy, but I'm going to overcome it.
2 apples - approx 63 calories ea
2 italian crunchy breadsticks - approx 22 calories ea
lots of water (I stopped counting after three bottles)
french dip sandwich for dinner (today is day one of two splurge days to build up before beginning the 500 calories) - approx 800 calories (no au jus)
1 Vitamin B12
1 Daily vitamin
Total of 970-1000 calories today - Day One - Phase One
Starting weight - 181

I'm Good Enough, I'm Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like Me!
Initial short term goals in a quick brainstorm session:
a) Blogging lends accountability
b) Weight loss and food intake control (30 day goal, 3 month goal, 6 month goal)
c) Gym activity (5 days per week; 3 yoga classes per week and 2 days of cardio)
d) Turn off technology and enjoy the fresh air, my kids, my family and myself - 1 hour per day, 7 days per week
e) Develop the SHE system at home (Sidetracked Home Executives) to turn something that doesn't come natural into an automated process - http://www.shesintouch.com/whoare.html
f) My brain is running amuck with multitudes of goals for myself. Which is why I continue to write them down only to accomplish none of them. There is no focus without prioritization. So lastly, Prioritization. Develop a true goal list that is prioritized by necessities, wants and desires.
These goals are subject to amending and addition at any time, however, they are NOT subject to lessening. They may only be "not met" but the goal and criteria itself may not be decreased. No matter how much I plead. :-)

One goal at a time.
As I sat in my weekly "accountability/goal setting for the week" meeting with my best friend, we contemplated the words passion, dreams and long term goals.
What am I passionate about? What are my dreams? What are my long term goals?
I start with "I am passionate about my children." ...... Oh-kay. We'll come back to this one.
I dream about a clean house, hugs from my kids, a happy marriage and fresh baked muffins straight from the oven. ...... Wow, this is going to be harder than I thought.
Where do I want to be in my life in five years? Ten years? And, then, there is silence.... *insert crickets chirping*
The time has come, but I must start small. It's time to set my goals, short term. And this is where my commitment joins my life and my blog.

I'm here. I commit. Let's do this together.
But, why am I here?
I'm here to make a commitment to myself. Taking care of myself has been on the bottom of my to-do list for many years now. I am determined to find that balance where I can hold my head up and say (with complete belief in myself) that I am the best Mom, the best Wife and the best ME that I can be.
And it starts right here. Thanks for joining me on my journey. Thank you to those of you who lend support, a smile and accountability.
Let's do this thing together.
